Northern Fitness MCP Server

The Northern Fitness MCP server lets AI agents and assistants shop our catalog of home and commercial gym equipment over the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Agents can search products, read prices and stock in Canadian dollars, build carts, and complete checkouts that the shopper has approved. It is free to use and needs no API key.

Connection details

  • Endpoint: https://nurthernfitness.com/api/ucp/mcp
  • Transport: Streamable HTTP (JSON-RPC 2.0)
  • Protocol: Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) shopping service. Profile: /.well-known/ucp
  • Authentication: none for catalog, cart and checkout tools. The shopper approves every purchase.

Tools

Tool What it does
search_catalog Search products by name, brand or category, for example "adjustable bench" or "REP Fitness rack".
lookup_catalog Look up several products or variants by ID.
get_product Full product detail: variants, prices (CAD) and availability.
create_cart, update_cart, get_cart, cancel_cart Build and manage a cart.
create_checkout, update_checkout, get_checkout Prepare a checkout with line items, shipping, taxes and totals.
complete_checkout Place the order. Only with the shopper's explicit approval.
cancel_checkout Cancel a checkout.
get_order Order details and status.
search_locations, lookup_locations Our Toronto showroom and GTA pickup locations.
ask_business Questions about the store, what it sells, its policies and services.

Rules for agents

  • Complete a checkout only after the shopper reviews and approves it.
  • Prices are in Canadian dollars and orders ship within Canada.
  • Identify agent traffic with Web Bot Auth and back off on HTTP 429.
