These barbells were over 10 years in the making – the fusion of customer insights, rigorous testing, thousands of reps by different types of athletes, and our decades of experience in both lifting and designing quality, innovative gym equipment.

REP was founded in Colorado, and this short barbell embodies their signature, flagship Colorado™ bar design in a more compact form. The 15kg Colorado™ short bar is a premium, multi-purpose barbell that retains all the well-loved features of the original 20kg Colorado™ bar but in a shorter, 6’ length (72”). Designed for tight spaces like garages, group training environments, or competitions, this barbell for small spaces combines top-tier performance with unmatched versatility. The Colorado™ short bar comes with a sleek black Cerakote shaft (standard 51.5" length) and hard chrome sleeves. Cerakote provides exceptional durability and corrosion resistance, while the hard chrome finish adds a smooth, long-lasting coating to the sleeves. Its 28.5mm shaft diameter, identical to the original Colorado™ bar, ensures the bar feels and performs just like a standard Olympic barbell. The barbell also features composite bushings, which provide a smooth, consistent rotation and reduce noise when dropped.

Features

Shorter Design for Small Spaces: At 72”, this bar is ideal for small gym spaces, garage gyms, and group training/competition environments.
